MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

After extensive fundraising, the Milford Trail Committee is happy to announce that the $105,000 match to meet the DNR Grant requirement has been accomplished.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the Village Council, who believed in this project and supported the effort, to all members of the Milford Trail Committee and to the community who participated in the many activities.

It is our understanding that construction of the Milford Trail will begin in May or June, with completion expected in September. Watch for more information on the Ground Breaking Ceremony Saturday, May 31^st.

The Milford Trail will be an important link in connecting the Kensington Hike/Bike Trail to downtown Milford. This portion of the Trail endeavor takes users from the Milford dam, around Hubble Pond Park, over hills and through a densely wooded area to the YMCA. The route continues through the Y property, past the Library, along Commerce Road and on into the retail district’s fine restaurants and shops.

The Village of Milford has applied for a $405,000 grant that must be matched by private donations in the amount of $105,000.

The Milford Trail Committee, an enthusiastic and energetic group of volunteers, is actively pursuing a number of fund-raising efforts to meet this challenge.  View the Events Calendar Here.

The Committee is also accepting corporate and private funds, with a number of recognition opportunities, based on the amount of the gift.
